TEAM COACHING

new team leaders, middle leaders, senior management | groups | live online, onsite |

Team Coaching requires all team members to engage and contribute to the team's objectives through honest conversations with an equal balance of challenge and support.

Teams will explore what it takes to operate together at their best, build psychological safety and learn to agree and disagree with each other to reach better outcomes.

"TEAMWORK BEGINS BY BUILDING TRUST. AND THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT IS TO OVERCOME OUR NEED FOR INVULNERABILITY"
PATRICK LENCIONI

Team Coaching provides a provocative and reflective space to explore how the contribution of all individuals within the team can be optimised through honest conversations, building psychological safety, and learning to agree and disagree with each other to reach better outcomes.

All team members are encouraged to adopt a growth mindset whilst collaboratively designing their desired way forward, setting their performance expectations and standards. Our team coaches partner with the team to shape the development agenda and role model support and challenge throughout. Ultimately, the team owns the agenda and actions they commit to in pursuit of alliance, cohesion, and goal consensus.

A number of team-based psychometrics may be used alongside coaching to add insight. In addition, team members may also receive 1-1 coaching.

A TYPICAL TEAM COACHING PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

There are six key phases in a typical Team Coaching programme.

KEY PHASE 1 - CONTRACTING PHASE

Understand Initial contracting with key stakeholders and team leaders (establish team coaching needs and readiness). Addresses psychological safety and ethical practice in coaching.

KEY PHASE 2 - SCOPING PHASE

Introducing 1 to 1 with each team member and selected stakeholders to build an understanding of the current state of the team, performance, and perspective.

KEY PHASE 3 - TEAM DIAGNOSTIC

Opportunity to gain deeper insight from an online team diagnostic tool.

KEY PHASE 4 - INITIAL SESSION

An initial session to share feedback from both the insights from the chosen diagnostic and the scoping phase. This information provides the team with an opportunity to make sense, reflect and agree on a co-designed way forward.

KEY PHASE 5 - TEAM SESSIONS

A further three to six team sessions focussed on identified development areas. Minimum two hours duration up to a maximum of one day per session. The team build the approach together. Team coaches may provide pre-session reading/stimulus/action.

KEY PHASE 6 - REVIEW AND EVALUATE

Team outcomes. Re-visit 360 diagnostic tool to measure progress.
