The ILM 5 Certificate or Diploma in Effective Coaching and Mentoring is the ideal qualification for leaders and managers with significant responsibility for coaching and mentoring as part of their day-to-day role, those looking to embed a coaching culture across their organisation and those planning to start a career as a freelance or independent coach.

A 7.5% early bird discount is applied if delegates register 6 months before the course start date. A 5% discount is applied between 6 and 3 months before the start date.

Coaching is an increasingly important part of organisational success, and the ability to implement a coaching culture is a defining factor!
​
The accredited ILM 5 Certificate or Diploma in Effective Coaching and Mentoring will develop coaching skills and enable delegates to coach a wide range of managerial positions at either team leader or middle leader level.
They will develop tools and approaches, such as appropriate questioning, active listening and providing effective feedback, to empower those around them to think for themselves and develop their own solutions. Enabling them to tackle issues such as team management, developing positive relationships, self-confidence, assertiveness, communication, and career change among others.

Both the Certificate and Diploma have three modules covering knowledge, skills, and reflective assessment. Each module has its own assignment which will help delegates to apply the learning to their own work and reflect on the way they work.
ASSESSMENT 1 - UNDERSTANDING THE SKILLS, PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF EFFECTIVE COACHING AND MENTORING WITHIN AN ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
This module is assessed through a written assignment
ASSESSMENT 2 - UNDERTAKING AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF COACHING OR MENTORING WITHIN AN ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
The following number of coaching and mentoring hours are required with individuals in the workplace who hold a team leader or middle leader role:

Certificate: At least 18 hours

Diploma: At least 54 hours
